A GTY (Guarantee) Stateroom allows you to book a cabin in a specific category, such as Balcony, Mini Suite, or Interior, at a slightly lower price. The benefit is that while you are guaranteed a cabin in your selected category (or higher), the exact room will be assigned closer to the sail date.
For example, if you book a Mini Suite GTY, you will definitely have a Mini Suite cabin—it just might not be assigned until later. This option gives the cruise line flexibility in allocating rooms while offering you the opportunity for potential upgrades.
It’s a great choice for travelers who are flexible about their exact cabin location but want to lock in a particular category.
